What is a scent booster?
Detergent cleans; a scent booster adds fragrance. Also known as laundry perfume or scent beads, these fragranced beads go into the drum before the wash starts. They work alongside your detergent and give your laundry the scent you choose.
What does it do?
A scent booster has just one job: to add fragrance to your laundry during the wash. Your detergent removes dirt and stains. A scent booster doesn’t replace it; it works alongside it. And because you choose your scent separately from your detergent, laundry day becomes a small ritual.
How do you use it?
- 1Measure. Fill the cap one-third full. That’s about 10 g, the standard dose on the label for 4–5 kg of laundry.
- 2Pour into the empty drum. Pour the product straight into the drum of your machine, before your laundry. Do not put it in the detergent or softener compartment.
- 3Add your laundry. Place your laundry into the machine, on top of the product.
- 4Add detergent and start. Add your detergent as usual, following its own instructions. Choose your programme and start your washing machine.
How much do you use, and how long does a bottle last?
The standard dose on the sens moi label is 1/3 cap (about 10 g) for 4–5 kg of laundry. The label adds: “You can increase the amount according to your desired scent intensity.” According to the label, one bottle gives 35 washes.
Which scent should you choose?
The right scent is simply the one you love. Each of the four sens moi scents has its own character:

Safe use
A scent booster is a household product, so use it as the warnings on its label say. Keep it out of reach of children and away from food, do not swallow it and avoid contact with eyes. The declared fragrance allergens of each scent are listed on its product page.

- Does a scent booster replace detergent?
- No. As the label instructions say, sens moi is used together with detergent: first the product goes into the drum, then your laundry, then your detergent.
- Does it go in the detergent drawer or in the drum?
- In the drum. As the label instructions say, the product goes straight into the drum of the machine, before your laundry. Don’t put it in the detergent, prewash or softener compartment.
- How much should I use?
- The standard dose on the label is 1/3 cap (about 10 g) for 4–5 kg of laundry. If you’d like a stronger scent, you can use more.
- How many washes does one bottle give?
- According to our label, one bottle gives 35 washes. If you use more for a stronger scent, the bottle will last for fewer washes.
- Which scent should I choose?
- If you love floral, powdery scents, choose Blush Bloom. If you love fruity, tropical scents, choose Tropic Hug. For clean, fresh scents, choose Blue Dream, and for green, aromatic scents, choose Botanic Air.
- Is a scent booster harmful?
- sens moi is a household product and should be used as the warnings on its label say: keep it out of reach of children, do not swallow it and avoid contact with eyes, and do not use it for cleaning hands, face, body or foodstuffs. According to the safety data sheet, the product contains the fragrance allergens Limonene, Linalool, Coumarin, Geraniol and Benzyl Salicylate. The Blue Dream label lists Linalool, Citronellol and α-Terpineol. The product may produce an allergic reaction. Because the product is harmful to aquatic life with long lasting effects (H412), dispose of the contents and container in accordance with local waste regulations.
